We offer small classes of maximum 5 people per swim teacher (sometimes even smaller!). This allows support and focus during the lesson, with experienced teachers and lifeguards who have first aid training. However at times the group sizes can exceed 5 especially in our advanced Sharks group where the focus is more on skill refinement and they do not need individual 1-1 support and full reliance on a teaher's help with buoynacy etc.
Children receive an e-certificate to compliment their achievements at the end of each term. We used to give hard-copy certificates but due to administrative reasons, time constraints and to ensure all children receive their certificates at the end of each term, we have chosen to use an e-certificate version, which can be accessed through your email. This can be celebrated at home with your child and help to give you an indication as a parent where your child is with their swimming progress.
All bookings (regular/one-off) can be made on our website (https://www.duckstosharks.co.uk/) by navigating to Book Today and completing the online form, which is followed by a consultation with our client care manager who discusses your needs, provides any further discounts and books your child's place with us for swimming lessons.
If your child is sick or injured, they must not attend the lesson. This is to ensure your own safety as well as the safety of other attending and our staff. However, please note, even under this circumstance, we cannot shift the lesson or refund you as we have booked the space specially for your child in the given timesloy, and another reason being as chidren attending for an hour catch up would affect the number of children of the proceeding classes when our aim is to always keep numbers small per group.
Please ensure you have done the following to your child:
No jewellery, hair pieces is worn as this can serve as a health and safety hazard to others
No food is consumed 1 hour before the lesson to avoid the risk of you/your child vomiting during the lesson
Young children have toileted before the lesson to avoid soiling of the water and contamination.
